This blog is about the behind-the-scenes aspect of the hobby. The process that makes it happen, tips, tutorials, memorable quotes, and the little moments that make it all worthwhile. Brought to you by mods (Xaynie & ElfGrove) and our cosplaying cohorts.
Wear a costume. It can be as fancy or as simple as you wish.
Be aware of the dimensions of your costume and/or props. Try not to hit other people or block aisles, doors, hallways, etc.
If your costume involves theater/Halloween grade make-up (i.e. body paint, fake gore, fake blood, etc) be careful to keep potentially staining make-up contained to yourself and do not rub it off on other people, furniture, walls, or other architecture.
If your costume involves real-world symbols (i.e. military patches, flags, swastikas, etc) be aware that you could be misconstrued as either representing or disrespecting actual groups or peoples. Be very cautious of your behavior while displaying such symbols.
Ask before invading anyone’s personal space (touching someone).
